Alserkal Avenue Programming launches Site-specific commissions by six artists during Art Week in Alserkal Avenue
Alserkal Avenue Programming (AAP) announces thelaunch the work of six artists commissioned this year as part of Art Week 2016 across various locations in Alserkal Avenue. The artists have been invited to examine the built environment of the Avenue, dissolve borders, reveal hidden spaces and view-points, highlight the incoherence of the neighbourhood, and challenge notions of permanence and place.

Alserkal Avenue Presents ‘Not as far as it seems’, the second edition of the Safina Radio Project, as part of the Dhaka Art Summit 2016
Commissioned by Alserkal Avenue and directed by independent curator Anabelle de Gersigny, the Safina Radio Projects are itinerant online broadcasting platforms, each edition acting as a roving stage for conversation and performance, working alongside contemporary art events. The project adopts radio as a format for exploring subjects and concepts that relate to the aesthetic, social, cultural and political.

Quoz Arts Fest 2016 by Alserkal Avenue is back for a 4th edition
Quoz Arts Fest is a celebration of art and culture in the industrial neighborhood of Al Quoz. This year, artists from a variety of disciplines including visual art, music, dance and design will be invited to engage with the Al Quoz community. On the weekend of 22, 23 January, the festival free festival that is open to all will include artist workshops, performances, walks, and interactive installations that invite collaboration with the public.

Alserkal Avenue Announces ‘Upcycled’ Urban Market: Winter 2015 to close the season in the Avenue
Alserkal Avenue is holding its second ‘Upcycled’ Urban Market on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of December 2015. Running from 11am till 8pm, the two day event will include art, live music, food, workshops, activities and a chance to buy gifts ranging from art and fashion to upcycled bicycles.
