Job Description & Responsibilities


The Digital Manager will play an important role in shaping the digital presence of Alserkal Avenue and its subsidiaries. The Digital Manager is responsible for managing the build and launch of a new website, as well as setting and implementing strategies across digital marketing and social media. 
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, to be based in Alserkal Avenue offices.

The position reports into the Assistant Director of Communications.
 


Responsibilities:
 


* The responsibilities of the Digital Manager cover the broad digital spectrum, including but not limited to Digital Marketing, Newsletters, the organisation’s Website and Microsites, the organisation’s Social Media presence, as well as any presence on sites that have strong user generated content propositions (eg: tripadvisor, airbnb.com, lonelyplanet.com, Wikipedia, Google Maps, etc.) 

* Digital Marketing
* Responsible for creating a digital marketing strategy for Alserkal Avenue, driving traffic to the Alserkal Avenue website, and resulting in increased footfall to the Avenue, concepts and events
* Responsible for creating a digital marketing strategy for Concrete, driving enquiries to the Concrete website, and resulting in increased event enquiries and exhibition/event footfall
* Responsible for creating digital marketing plans for specific events namely; two exhibitions and summer programme in 2019 in Concrete, Art Week at Alserkal Avenue, Ramadan at Alserkal Avenue, Summer Programme, Fall Programme, November at Alserkal Avenue and Quoz Arts Fest, alongside others that may arise
* Overseeing paid social campaigns for Alserkal Avenue, Concrete and Alserkal Residency, working initially with a third party to deliver the campaigns - setting budgets and objectives, reviewing results regularly and tweaking as necessary
* Overseeing Google Ads for Alserkal Avenue and Concrete, working initially with a third party to deliver the campaigns - setting budgets and objectives, reviewing results regularly and tweaking as necessary
* Responsible for implementing a data strategy, including acquisition campaign, audience profiling, streamlining data collection processes, and integration with existing software
* Creation of newsletter strategy for Alserkal Avenue and Concrete, considering best-practice, frequency, and content, working with

Communications Coordinator to implement


* Liaise with Associate Director of Brand to ensure all digital assets reflect the Alserkal Avenue and Concrete brands
* Ensure Alserkal Avenue and all community members are on Google Maps, and that Google Maps is up-to-date
* Lead on getting Alserkal Avenue onto Google Arts + Culture
* Website
* Oversee the project management of the creation of a new website for Alserkal Avenue and its subsidiaries, due to launch in early 2020
* Full project management responsibilities to ensure the website is delivered to scope, budget and within the agreed project timeline
* Appoint and oversee the relationship with the agency, overseeing content strategy, information architecture, UX, SEO, brief creation, design, development, QA/QT, testing and launch
* Create a full project plan including all deliverables
* Oversee Quality Assurance/Quality Testing on all functional aspects of the website, to ensure the experience delivered is as briefed
* Ensure the appointed agency considers UX/UT throughout the entire website journey, and that the website is UX-led
* Create a content strategy for the new website, liaising with other team members and agency as required for delivery
* Set KPIs to measure the success of the website, and report against these regularly
* Keep stakeholders updated regularly with the progress of the website project
* Work with the Associate Director of Brand on the website to ensure it reflects the Alserkal Avenue brand
* Social media strategy
Create a social media strategy for Alserkal Avenue and Concrete, reflecting current business objectives and using this to support digital marketing strategies
* Responsible for creating social media plans for specific events namely; two exhibitions and summer programme in 2019 in Concrete, Summer dance programme in Concrete, Art Week at Alserkal Avenue, Ramadan at Alserkal Avenue, Summer Programme, Fall Programme, November at Alserkal Avenue and Quoz Arts Fest, alongside others that may arise, working with the Communications Coordinator
* Work with Communications Manager and Associate Director of Brand to create and finalise comprehensive tone of voice and playbook for both Alserkal Avenue and Concrete on social media
* Create strategy and channels for the non-profit arm of Alserkal Avenue
* Work with Communications Coordinator to ensure social media strategy is accurately implemented, and that all communications are on brand and adhere to the tone of voice



Required skills + experience


* A degree or equivalent in Marketing, IT, Business Studies or equivalent subject

* 5-7 years experience working in a digital environment 

* Sufficient project management experience, with experience managing and delivering website projects from end to end 

* Experience creating and implementing digital strategies for a brand

* An interest in arts and culture
