Job Description & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Digital Marketing Specialist to join the Communications team at Alserkal. This is an important role in the team, creating effective campaigns to promote the activities at Alserkal, Alserkal Avenue, Alserkal Arts Foundation and our commercial ventures. The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for conceptualising and implementing digital campaigns to support business objectives, alongside overall campaign management, working across social media, PR, design and other teams in the business. The role is responsible for  overseeing digital marketing initiatives within Alserkal, as well as spearheading new ideas to ensure campaigns are as effective as possible.

The position reports into the Associate Director of Communications.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Specialist cover online communications and marketing activities, including paid digital marketing, social media marketing SEO, website, and overall campaign management for Alserkal initiatives and events;


Digital Marketing and campaign management

  • Oversee paid digital and social media campaigns for Alserkal, Alserkal Avenue, and Alserkal Arts Foundation - from concept and brief to setting budgets and objectives, reviewing results regularly and tweaking as necessary, and full reporting
  • Create marketing campaigns from concept to execution for commercial outreach, including leasing, event management, and space rental
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns for specific events including but not limited to; two Alserkal Arts Foundation exhibitions, summer and fall programmes, Art Week at Alserkal Avenue, Ramadan at Alserkal Avenue, November at Alserkal Avenue and Quoz Arts Fest
  • Full project management for campaigns within the Communications department, with responsibility for ensuring internal and external team members are on target for both deadlines and goals
  • Oversee paid digital campaigns to support Alserkal Avenue community
  • Responsible for creating and implementing a data strategy, including acquisition campaign, audience profiling, streamlining data collection processes, and championing Pardot as a data management tool
  • Liaise with Communications Executive to ensure social media posts are on-message and effective for campaigns
  • Work with the Communications Executive to feed into the social media strategy for Alserkal, its existing channels and new channels, reflecting current business objectives and using this to support digital marketing strategies
  • Liaise with Communications Executive on newsletter strategy, considering frequency, audiences, content and automation
  • Create Google Ads strategy for the business - setting budgets and objectives, reviewing results regularly and tweaking as necessary, and full reporting
  • Liaise with Head of Brand to ensure all digital assets reflect the Alserkal brands
  • Lead on getting Alserkal onto Google Arts + Culture

 

Website

  • Oversee the project management of the creation of a new website for Alserkal and its subsidiaries, due to launch in mid-2020, working closely with Associate Director of Communications
  • Full project management responsibilities to ensure the website is delivered to scope, budget and within the agreed project timeline
  • Oversee relationship with the web development agency, overseeing content strategy, information architecture, SEO, brief creation, content creation, design, development, visual identity, testing and launch
  • Keep stakeholders updated regularly with the progress of the website project
  • Work with the Head of Brand on the website to ensure it reflects the Alserkal brand
  • Responsible for ongoing SEO strategy, working with Communications Manager to ensure content meets SEO requirements
  • Creation of landing pages to support marketing campaigns

 

Required skills + experience

  • A degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Business Studies or equivalent subject
  • 5-7 years’ experience working in a digital environment with experience creating and implementing digital strategies for a brand
  • Strong grasp of working with numerical data for monitoring and reporting purposes
  • Strong project management experience, with experience managing websites from beginning to end
  • An interest in arts and culture

 

 

Position type and expected hours of work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Thursday, from 10am to 7pm. Saturdays and overtime might be required during intense periods and/or during special projects and events.
