The Three Wise Men

The Iranian-born trio of friends and collaborators Rokni Haerizadeh, Ramin Haerizadeh and Hesam Rahmanian have been delighting, confounding, shocking and provoking us for well over a decade, with their multimedia assaults on conformity, dogma, lassitude and conventionality. In their new exhibition, at Turin’s Officine Grandi Riparazioni, entitled Forgive me, distant wars, for bringing flowers home, the artists present a series of large scale works that reflect their practice of collaboration, commentary, humour, dark satire and a rich tradition of storytelling. We meet curator Abaseh Mirvali to hear what it was like to work with the artists on the show and from the artists themselves, who gave us exclusive audio shedding light on their theories, concepts and ideals.
