Carnage is an award-winning play by the French playwright, Yasmina Reza that revolves around two couples who meet to sort the issue of playground injury during the fight between their sons where one kid has lost his teeth. The Raleighs and the Novaks, after their initially courteous and civilized conversation move on to reveal just how thin a social veneer can be. It’s a roller-coaster ride that moves from discussions about art and coexistence to literally a carnage which is hysterical. The characters are placed in a truthful situation and people recognizing it makes it comic.
