Canada 150 at Alserkal Avenue

On the occasion of Canada’s 150th anniversary, the Consulate General of Canada in Dubai is inviting you to experience a Canadian Arts & Culture Programme at Alserkal Avenue on Thursday, 14 December (3-5PM for the Youth Programme), and Friday, 15 December (10AM - 9PM for the Family Programme).

Join community members thejamjar, The Fridge, Parkour DXB, Readings Dogs UAE, Cinema Akil and The Third Line Gallery who have curated a special selection of artistic content all the way from Canada. Attend an Aboriginal arts workshop led by Canadian First-Nations artist KC Adams. Enjoy the enthralling lyrics and distinctive soulful voice of Somali-Canadian musician Ladan Hussein (Cold Specks). Wind down with film director Ann Marie Fleming at a showing of her award-winning animation film Window Horses.

What’s more, yoga with lululemon, kids’ arts and crafts, parkour, and many exciting activities. Delicious treats will be available at Canada’s The Pita Pit and Big Smoke Burger.
