Created as a platform for artistic and cultural experimentation and exchange, Alserkal Residency seeks to provide the infrastructure and support that would allow cultural practitioners to fully engage with the region. Founded by Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal and the Alserkal family, the Residency focuses on research-based and socially-engaged practices.
The primary focus of the Residency is to foster an exploration of ideas. While there is no production requirement, residents are expected to take part in a dynamic public programme that engages local and regional audiences, establishing dialogue with both their peers and the UAE community.
The Alserkal Residency Apprentice will work closely with Alserkal Residency Director and Alserkal Residency Programmes Manager to assist in preparing for the launch of Alserksal Residency and the day-to-day operations of the Residency Programme.
Our day to day is always different. The Alserkal Residency Apprentice will work directly with the artists-in-residence as well as help in the organization of the programme which will include public events, field trips and exhibitions.
